On November 11th, the National Final of SciFest took place in Dublin. This year’s winner was Caolann Brady, a 6th year student at St. Wolstan's School in Celbridge, Co Kildare. Caolann is the first ever female winner of SciFest, and is sure to be an inspiration to many other girls who are interested in pursuing a career in STEM.

These talks are great for inspiring students to think differently about school subjects, life after school and to look beyond stereotypes. Talks are typically 40 mins, taking place in your classroom. STEM volunteers can also attend parent-teacher evenings.

The Adult Learner “Skills for Work” competition is aimed at students undertaking FETAC Level 4 and 5 work experience modules.
The aim is to build on some of the existing work students are required to do for this module in relation to developing career skills and reflecting on their career development as a result.
